Three parts: two mixed-media works and a single-channel video.

A time to cast away stones and A time to gather stones together are two mixed-media works on wood panels,
created through a process of pasting and peeling.

​

The video, A favor asked was a favor given, plays on a continuous loop on a CRT monitor placed directly
on the ground. The first three minutes feature a series of shifting vistas seen through a window—scenes of a
gray sky, a snowstorm, the tops of buildings, and traces of footsteps left in the snow—constantly moving in and
out of focus. This is followed by a one-hour, forty-two-minute static shot of a photograph taped to a glass pane
in front of a city street. Over the image, short texts appear as subtitles approximately every five minutes.
