Francisco Javier Ramírez

(Mexico City, 1991)


Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Graduated in Design and Visual Communication from Faculty of Arts and Design (UNAM), Postbac in Contemporary Photography from the Antigua Academia de San Carlos (UNAM), currently part of Proyecto Imaginario Latinoamérica. His artistic practice addresses the issue of identity with respect to sexuality, gender, and life as an immigrant, through photography, printmaking, and book arts. Ramirez' works have been exhibited in both group and solo shows including Unfinished: New Prints 2022/Winter at Print Center New York, and his individual exhibition After the thrill is gone with noox gallery. He has published several photobooks and zines which have been featured at Vancouver Art Book Fair, Brooklyn Art Book Fair, and ZONA MACO Libros, among others.
