Composed from fragments gathered in and around my studio—newspaper clippings, discarded photographs, stray images, and words and thoughts—assembled into collages. Working in a way similar to found and concrete poetry, I use the page to collect and rearrange fragments, allowing unexpected combinations to take on personal meaning. The original collages are reproduced as Xerox copies, preserving the immediacy, grain, and tonal compression of the process, and are bound with a single metal ring.
