Ed at Age 34 combines Edward Schwartz’s 1930s–40s New York street photographs with new works by Francisco Javier Ramirez, created in response to Schwartz’s archive. Supported by a Columbia University RBML research grant, the book layers archival fragments with Ramirez’s contemporary vision, exploring memory, migration, and the politics of seeing.
